February 11, 2019

The Sprott Business Students' Society is pleased to announce the 2019-2020 SBSS Executive Team!

Over the upcoming three months, the incoming executives will work closely with the outgoing executives to transition into their roles, and will make their first debut as a team at the annual SBSS Gala on Saturday, March 23, 2019. The incoming team will begin their term as executives on May 1, 2019.

The outgoing members of this year's Executive Team would like to extend their most enthusiastic congratulations to the new and returning members.

Meet the 2019-2020 Executive Team below!

Zara Shah is a second year Bachelor of Commerce student concentrating in Management. She is honoured and delighted to be elected as the new President of the Sprott Business Students' Society! The new school year brings with it opportunity to make SBSS bigger and better than ever with exciting new events and she cannot wait to take on this journey!

George Zelikov is a third year Bachelor of Commerce student with a concentration in Accounting. In his first year George was on the Social Committee and in his second year he was Social Director. George is super excited to be back on SBSS for his final year! One of his goals is for every SBSS portfolio to feel confident in the financial processes for their events so that every event is a success. In his spare time he loves playing guitar and seeing live music. A fun fact about me George is that he loves baking pies!

Katherine is currently finishing her second year of my Bachelor of Commerce Degree, with a concentration in management and marketing. She been on the SBSS formals committee for the last 2 years and is so excited to be the next VP External! She can’t wait to keep increasing our corporate connections and sponsorships, and to continue making both Banquet and Gala even more unforgettable. She is looking forward to seeing all of you at our events next year and sharing the Sprott Love!

Ellena is finishing her first year of the Bachelor of Commerce Program. She first joined SBSS as PR Manager, and is super excited to step in to the position of VP Academics this upcoming school year. With her love for case competitions, and studying business at Sprott, Ellena is looking forward to enhancing the academics side of things, making University more exciting for students than ever before. When not bleeding blue, Ellena loves to travel, and do sports such as volleyball, swimming, and sailing!

Emily is a first year Bachelor of Commerce student. She first joined SBSS this year as First Year Representative and looks forward to continue her involvement next year! Emily is most excited to continue to meet and work with as many Sprotties old and new! Her biggest goal for next year is to encourage as many Sprotties to be involved in all that SBSS has to offer! Besides her love for Sprott, Emily loves all things that contain coffee, particularly chocolate covered coffee beans!

Oscar is an accounting student in his third year and he is very excited to take the role as this year’s VP Student Life! He grew up here in Ottawa and is passionate about skiing, patio season and Game of Thrones. As VP Student Life he cannot wait to work with the other executives to make sure that next year is full of amazing events!
