This past Saturday the SBSS held their annual Internal Case Competition. “The Internal Case Competition provides students the opportunity to apply their studies to real-life scenarios and practice their skills before a panel of judges. Partners of the event, who act as judges, are able to provide students with feedback on how to strengthen their presentation and critical thinking skills, while networking with the events’ ambitious participants. The 52nd annual Business Banquet on Monday, November 25th at the Shaw Centre is quickly approaching and provides a great opportunity for students to network as well as hear amazing speakers such as our keynote speaker, Anastasia Valentine. In order to fully take advantage of the event, it’s important to be prepared so here are some helpful tips to get ready for the Business Banquet! The Sprott Business Student’s Society presents Ryan Smolkin LIVE at Carleton University, an animated and engaging on-stage presentation on November 19, 2019. One of the highlights of the Annual SBSS Business Banquet is our keynote speaker, and this year, the SBSS is delighted to announce that Anastasia Valentine, an award-winning business and technology executive, will be our speaker at the banquet on November 25th. Anastasia has spent over 25 years working as a business and technology executive, with a stellar track record of building great products, scaling businesses, attracting top talent and creating recognizable, reputable and memorable brands. 2019 Movember Dodgeball Tournament

On November 3rd, 6 teams descended upon the Norm Fenn Gymnasium for the annual Movember Dodgeball Tournament. The event is part of the Movember Foundation, SBSS’s annual charity drive for men's health. While the weather outside was cold and gloomy, the atmosphere inside was anything but, as teams ducked, dived, and dodged their way to victory, all for a good cause. The competition started at noon, and was fierce throughout the whole tournament. Everyone was keen to show off their best dips, dives, and drops.
